What our patients are saying

FAQS

A periodontist is a dental specialist trained to care for your gums and the bone that supports your teeth. After finishing dental school, a periodontist goes through three more years of advanced training to learn how to treat gum disease and place dental implants. This extra education gives them the skills to handle more complex dental problems and provide care that goes beyond what a general dentist typically offers.

One of the main things a periodontist treats is gum disease. Gum disease can cause swelling, bleeding, bad breath, and eventually tooth loss if it’s not treated. A periodontist can help stop the infection, clean deep below the gums, and even rebuild areas where gum or bone has been damaged. Their goal is to save your natural teeth whenever possible and keep your mouth healthy for the long term.

Periodontists are also trained to perform advanced procedures like bone grafting, gum grafting, and placing dental implants to replace missing teeth. Many periodontists use modern technology, such as 3D imaging, digital scanners, and minimally invasive tools, to plan and perform treatment with greater accuracy and comfort. These advanced techniques help improve healing, shorten recovery time, and lead to better results for patients.

  • We pride ourselves on an intimate and personalized approach to identifying our patients’ needs and blending that with their specific treatment goals
  • All doctors have 3-years minimum of specialty training and advanced education beyond the standard four years of dental school; this includes the management of challenging, severe ,and complex dental implant cases.
  • Focused efforts on saving natural teeth through a wide range of procedures to rebuild healthy gum tissue that surround and support your teeth.
  • Contemporary therapies to reverse bone loss in the jaw.
  • All doctors are experts in the treatment of oral inflammation and are familiar with the latest techniques for diagnosing and treating periodontal disease, in addition to performing cosmetic periodontal procedures, advanced bone grafting and implant procedures.
